Health Services at Crownpoint Community School
The school nurse/assistant collaborates with staff, parents/guardians, and students to promote a safe and healthy environment. Health technicians follow the recommended guidelines for COVID-19, cold, flu, and RSV as needed.
Student Illness Procedures
Students are to remain home if they are ill or have a contagious illness. If a student becomes ill and cannot remain in class, the student will be sent to the school nurse/front office. The school nurse/administrator will contact the parent/guardian to pick up their child at the school.
Dispensing Medication (Prescription and Over the Counter)
Medications will be administered in accordance with the BIE’s Medication Administration Policy, which is attached as Appendix B in the Student Handbook. (NEED LINK)
