Meal Cost
Schools are reimbursed for meals provided to all the students. However, parents, staff, and all other visitors are required to pay for their meals because these meals are non-reimbursable by USDA.
Cafeteria Rules
- Students are to follow all school rules while in the cafeteria.
- Students will model good behavior at all times.
- Students will use utensils properly.
- Students will walk quietly and leave doors/windows alone.
- Students will cooperate with all education technicians, teachers, and adults on duty.
- No tea, sodas, sports drinks, or energy drinks are allowed in the cafeteria. (Only bottled water, milk, and juice, when served from the line.)
- Students will be encouraged to eat food items on their trays.
- All electronic devices must be out of sight in the cafeteria.
- Students will remove all head gear before entering the cafeteria.
- Students will follow entry and exit pathways to avoid overcrowding.
- No cutting into the food line.
- Horseplay (e.g., shoving, running, shouting, fighting, throwing food) is not allowed.
- Each student is expected to clean the area they used.
- Students will be responsible for wiping tables.
- Each student must remove all trash (e.g., leftover food, paper) from their tray, disposing of it in the designated trash can.
- Students will not remove meals from the cafeteria.
- A student who wants a second helping must wait until everyone has been served once and must use the same tray. (At times there will not be enough of some food items for seconds.)
- Sponsors of after-school clubs, classes, tutoring, or sports must supervise their students during dinner at the cafeteria (if applicable).
